Platt Vineyard A Coastal Vineyard Estate
Hidden from sight by a dense redwood grove and just miles from the Pacific Ocean, Platt Vineyard has been producing some of the Coast’s most sought-after Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for nearly 20 years.
A Single Vineyard Cherished by
the Coast’s Best Winemakers
Lewis E. Platt planted the vineyard in 2003 and 2004, working hand in hand with the Coast's best winemakers and viticulturalists with one objective in mind: making California's best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The list of winemakers who produced wines with Platt-grown grapes is long and prestigious.
We are happy to assume the responsibility of pursuing this dream and of caring for the land in this very special place.
A Prized
Coastal Vineyard
Platt Vineyard’s ideal location permits consistent, slow and even ripening allowing flavors to concentrate in the grapes without elevated alcohol levels or loss in acidity.
It is the paradoxical proximity of the cool fog-shrouded Pacific Ocean coastline, and the intense solar radiation that makes this vineyard an outstanding place to produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
An Experienced
Team
Our winemaking consultant, Thomas Rivers Brown, has been making distinguished wines with grapes grown at Platt for many years. We benefit greatly from his extensive experience and knowledge of the site. Christian Seely has managed the AXA Millésimes portfolio of vineyards since 2001, including Domaine de l'Arlot, producer of renowned Premier and Grand Cru Burgundies in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Romanée-Saint-Vivant.

A Small,
Focused Production
After acquiring Platt in 2022, we were able-for the first time in 2023-to vinify the vineyard’s entire production under our own name. In 2025, we will reveal the vibrant complexity of this Estate in its entirety with a full range of Platt Vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
